The DAC (digital to analog converter) gives you the ability to connect any of your wireless transmitters to a digital audio out port. It converts the digital audio signal from your TV, cable/satellite box, or DVD player to an analog audio signal.

With digital audio in flat panel TVs to DVD players and the satellite or cable box, many electronics no longer use analog RCA audio out ports. The DAC patch cord delivers the analog audio signal to your transmitter allowing you to enjoy TV sound through your wireless speakers or wireless headphones.
